Carmen Bruce-Annan describes herself as a Communication game-changer and employee engagement fan.
She is currently the Head of Corporate Affairs at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), where has been involved in directing the creation and execution of a new brand framework and generating CSR policy, strategy and implementation framework to transform the business model and create shared value.
Prior to this, she was Head of Brand and Corporate Communication at Vodafone Ghana, where she pioneered transformational efforts that propelled Vodafone to become one of the most admired brands in Ghana.
At Vodafone Ghana, she helped deliver nearly 30 international and local awards in just three years, including PR Organisation Of The Year, Best Mobile Brand, Telecoms Company Of The Year, The Most Innovative Telecoms Company of the Year and CEO Of The Year.
She also developed a high-performing communication team and built an internal communication function that led to record achievements in the organisations Employee Net Promoter Score, which measures employee knowledge and confidence in products and services.
Carmen was the creator of the successful initiatives such as the Vodafone HealthLine television and radio shows, and is currently the only female to have created branded content to have won three TV Show of the Year awards from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Ghana) for both Vodafone HealthLine and Airtel Touching Lives, which she helped to launch in Ghana.
She was also credited with being the brain behind the launch of West Africa’s first medical call centre 255, that provides affordable, expert medical advice.
Carmen also had stints with rival telecom company Zain Ghana, now Airtel Ghana; where she managed the company’s Corporate Communications and led the development and execution of notable Corporate Responsibility and Social Investment initiatives.
She has also consulted in the area of Internal Communication for international brands like T-Mobile, was Marketing Communications Manager at Brent and Harrow Health Authority and coordinated Media and Events for Circle Anglia.
