Welcome to the third month of 2017 – March.
It is a special month for Ghana because it is our Independence Month but on the 8th day of this month every year, the world also celebrates International Women’s Day (IWD), a day set aside to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
So on my blog during month of March, i have also decided to tie in to this global celebration and will highlight some women in Ghana’s Public Relations industry; who are contributing meaningfully to their various fields/sectors of endeavor and to the deepening of the profession in the country.
This year, the global theme for the celebration of IWD is “Be Bold For Change”. This theme in my estimation is apt in the light of the fact that the PR industry in Ghana over the last two decades has seen a massive revolution; where we have had women rising and leading PR/Comms departments and agencies in what wold be or used to be a male dominated industry.
Do you know any woman who who is changing the status quo and effecting change in Ghana’s fledgling public relations industry? Do you know any woman in PR/Comms whose achievements deserves to be highlighted? Share their names with me at the comment section of this piece and lets have a conversation in my one corner.
